What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold through GetYourGuide and Viator. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides or drivers, or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with the Normandy region, its towns or their tourist offices, the American Battle Monuments Commission, the Centre des monuments nationaux, any museum or memorial, or any tour or transport company.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is a measured claim: Top rated appears only on a tour rated 4.9 or higher, Best seller only on the tour with the most reviews, and Best value only on the cheapest. A platform's own badge is not shown, and today no card carries a badge.

The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three kinds of day from three start towns: the coach day with lunch from Paris, the Mémorial de Caen's afternoon tour with its museum ticket, and a Mont-Saint-Michel day from Bayeux.

A few operators sell the same day on more than one booking platform, under different titles and prices. Those pairs are never shown side by side, and each is described from its own listing.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 28 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every fare is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate. A fare is shown in whole dollars, the cents dropped.

Where a listing counts its reviews two slightly different ways, the count shown is the one its own star breakdown adds up to. Most fares are per person; the private American-sector car is priced per group of up to 7, and its price says so. That car's listing shows one price for every start town, so treat its figure as the price from Bayeux or Caen.

Facts about the region itself, such as opening hours, entry prices, the 2026 works and closures and the climate, come from the official pages of the American Battle Monuments Commission, UNESCO, the museums, the Centre des monuments nationaux, the Bayeux tourist office and Météo-France. Where a detail comes from a listing, such as a meeting point, a group size, an age limit or what the fare covers, it belongs to that tour.

What we deliberately do not publish

• “Ticket included” for a free site. Some listings mark the beaches, the American Cemetery or Pointe du Hoc as admission included. They are free, so no card repeats it.
• A museum ticket the listing does not include. Where a museum appears in an itinerary but not in what the fare includes, the card calls it a stop, never a ticket.
• “Skip the line” at a free site. There is no ticket queue at the cemetery or at Pointe du Hoc to skip.
• A walk from the cemetery down to the beach. That path has been closed since 2016.
• The Bayeux Tapestry on show in Bayeux. Its museum is closed until the autumn of 2027.
• Dates no official source has set. No 2027 anniversary programme, and no tide times for Mont-Saint-Michel.
